Nissan North America is adding to its fleet of crossover vehicles. The Japanese automaker has revealed a sneak peek of the Rouge, it’s newest crossover that bears a sharp resemblance to the Nissan Murano.

Nissan will display the Rouge in a worldwide premiere at the Detroit Auto Show in January. It will go on sale in September 2008. The Rouge is a baby Murano, with the same wide stance as the Murano, as well as its sloping front grille. However, the Rouge is built on the Renault and Nissan C platform, which spawned the Nissan Sentra, Renault Megane and next year’s Nissan Qashqai.

The Rogue will come in S and SL models with a standard 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower.

We can only hope that the Chrysler Nassau will become more than just a concept vehicle. Right now, it’s a four-door, four-passenger vehicle concept that is compact with a spacious interior. But we’re hoping it will one day go into production. Kudos because it looks a lot like
the Acura TL from the grille and headlamps. A 6.1-liter HEMI powers the Nassau, which goes from 0-to-60 mph in five seconds.

Chrysler unveils new Jeep concept

A hard-top jeep but with soft-top features. That’s what the Chrysler Group has with the Jeep Trailhawk concept. The Trailhawk is built on the Wrangler Unlimited platform. It features removable tinted glass panels over the first-and-second row seats and cargo compartment that can be removed. The Trailhawk is powered by a 3.0-liter BLUETEC 215-horsepower, 376-lb-ft diesel.
