Honda unveils fuel-cell concept that could mimic 2008 production model
Honda has taken the wraps off its next-generation FCX concept fuel-cell vehicle. The Japanese automaker displayed the car to automotive journalists in California last month.
The FCX concept emits only water vapor. It features a cab-forward design with a multi-level dashboard. Its instrument panel is outfitted with a ball that turns blue, yellow and green depending on how much hydrogen is being used.
Honda plans to roll out a fuel cell vehicle in limited production in 2008. It is expected to resemble the FCX concept, a four-door sedan with a 270-mile range. The FCX is powered by a fuel cell stack, which combines hydrogen and oxygen to create electricity.
